Christian Cheney

Christian Cheney

Christian Cheney is a former Army Infantry officer, where he served for four and a half years. During his time in the military, he was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1BCT, 82nd ABN DIV, where he gained leadership experience as a platoon leader in both a rifle platoon and a heavy weapons platoon.

Battlefield Vegas History

Christian began working at Battlefield Vegas in high school and continued through college until he left for the Army. He worked as an Ammunition Specialist, Weapon Specialist, and HMMWV / M113 mechanic throughout his time working there.

Richard Robl

Richard "Richie" Robl served in various roles in the USMC, from heavy equipment operations and Team Lead for Flight Line Operations to TAD attachment with 1st Marine Raider Battalion.


Battlefield Vegas Training History

Starting off his career as an Ammo Specialist and demonstrating working knowledge of foreign armor, he quickly became a leading expert particularly in Russian armored vehicles. Richie is one of few stateside personnel that has real world, working knowledge of both the mechanical nature of Russian tanks and armor as well as the operations and use of the main armament systems aboard.

Richie has conducted numerous government training classes over the last few years and as second in command to Battlefield’s Armored Section to include:

- Army SOF and Air Force PJ and Air Force MQ-9 training to include points of vulnerability for disabling and/or expedient demil of armor and weapon systems. Operational knowledge to include driving operations for “tactical acquisition of foreign equipment.” Tactics and uses of armor, both conventional and non-conventional.

Rey Betancourt

Rey Betancourt is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Serving as a Sergeant, Rey served his time with 1st MarDiv HQBN Truck Company as a Motor T operator.


Battlefield Vegas Training History

Transitioning out of the Marine Corps, Rey started his Career at Battlefield Vegas as a weapons Specialist. Further advancing his career, he became an Armor Specialist and began training SOF units in Foreign Weapons and Foreign armor. This role demanded an in-depth understanding of various military weaponry and tactics, showcasing his adaptability and growing expertise. Rey’s career continued to evolve when he transitioned into his current role of instructor for sUAS (Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems) operations. His role not only highlights his technical expertise but also his ability to mentor and lead the next generation of Military personnel, sharing his knowledge and experience to help them excel in a rapidly changing battlefield. Rey also holds his student private pilot license with over 100 flight hours.

Daniel Palmer

Battlefield Vegas History

Daniel "Danny Boy" Palmer started with Battlefield Vegas in 2013 and has been maintaining  pistols, rifles, submachine guns, heavy machineguns, and everything in between but with a passion for the M134. He has provided indepth instruction to 18Bs with his knowledge and experience of keeping our M134s operational for the last decade. Danny has a unique inside perspective of how to keep weapons running in an enviroment that consumes 500,000-750,000 rounds each and every month. Danny has been providing weapons classes to Army 3 SFG, 5 SFG, and 10 SFG; as well as recognition classes for Air Force MQ-9 and A-10 crews for the last 28 months here at Battlefield Vegas.

Robert Douglas

Robert "Doug" Douglas, is a former paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division, 313th Military Intelligence Battalion. As a firearms instructor, avid hunter, and competitive shooter, Doug has over 40 years of firearms experience.

Battlefield Vegas History

Doug has worked for Battlefield Vegas and its parent company Henderson Defense Industries since 2007, and has the most Range Safety Officer time of any of its staff. Now as an Armorer, he has conducted training for: Army 3 SFG, 5 SFG, 10 SFG; Air Force MQ-9 pilots, A-10 pilots, and Pararescue Jumpers (PJs).

Alexander Steuart

Alexander "Alex" Steuart is a former Army Infantryman having served 6 and a half years on active duty with 2nd infantry Division and the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, serving in positions from Bradley crew member to weapons squad leader. After active duty he served a little over 14 years with the Army reserves, where he served as a Detachment sergeant and Company 1SG.

Alex started working for Battlefield Vegas in 2018 as a driver, working his way to range safety officer and then eventually armorer, with a heavy focus on M134 minigun maintenance and MG-42 upkeep. He has been an instructor for classes with Army 3 SFG, 5 SFG, 10 SFG, Airforce MQ-9, and A-10 pilots.
